The Polish FIM EWC team concluded two days of trouble-free testing with a solid pace ahead of the 24 Heures Motos.
With Bartłomiej Lewandowski, Kamil Krzemień and Dominik Vincon set to take part in the 24-hours classic at the end of August onboard the no. 90, Pirelli-shod BMW S1000RR, the trio spent two days at the Bugatti Circuit last week preparing for the around-the-clock marathon.
“We’re really happy because all three of us improved our lap times by a significant margin while also coming up with a very good race setup – says Bartłomiej Lewandowski. – We can still improve some small details but that’s something to work on during the official practice before the actual race. Having said that, I’m already confident that we will be able to challenge for a great result in Le Mans this year.”
“I’m really happy with our pace – adds Kamil Krzemień. – I didn’t expect to get to grips with the BMW so quickly, as it’s still a new bike for me, but things are going better than I expected. Our pace puts us right behind the factory teams which is a very good sign ahead of the race. We’ve done a lot of laps over these two days and had absolutely no issues or problems, with the team working together very well, so I’m really happy.”
“It was a good test – says Dominik Vincon. – We’ve tried several things and found a setup which allowed me to improve my qualifying lap time by half a second. Big thanks to the team for doing a great job.”
